Response to the Letter to the Editor

A Letter to the Editor in the Wednesday January 25 2017 Vernon Morning Star titled Regional District Responds tells one side of the story and it is not that of the North Westside. The Board Chair defends her and the Boards position as only reflecting the wishes of the Ministry … I do not agree. My recollection of the Minister’s decision during the meeting in his office at the Legislature Building is quite different as I expressed to the RDCO Board, here is the audio of that discussion.

Nonetheless the Community has made their desires very clear and a service review on steroids subsidized by Central Okanagan West with a scope limited to the governance option we currently occupy is not the Governance Study requested from the Ministry of Community, Sport & Culture by the residents of the North Westside.
