Looks like some progress on the path to restore the voice of our communities in their service levels and costs.
A meeting has been set in May with Minister Fassbender of the Provincial Ministry for Community, Sport & Culture and his staff with Director Hanson and myself. This is the Provincial Government Ministry that regional district and municipal legislation falls under. Local Government Act for Regional Districts and The Community Charter for incorporated communities. This will be an opportunity to discuss future governance options and the studies needed to provide the necessary financial, rx governance and legislative direction that is best for the Electoral Areas.
