Power Outage for December 7th – La Casa North to Westshore Road
North Westside residents be advised that Wednesday December 7th (Pearl Harbour Day) the lights and everything else electrical will be off from 6am to 6 pm. BC Hydro is doing some upgrades.

On December 7, click BC Hydro will be completing system improvement work which will, among other benefits to Westside road-area customers, create the ability to sectionalize the power line and limit the number of customers affected by some power outages in the future.
To ensure public and crew safety during this work, power to 1,380 BC Hydro customers must be shut off on December 7th from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This power outage will affect all BC Hydro customers at La Casa Resort and north to the Intersection of Westshore Road and Westside Road. This includes La Casa Resort, Fintry and Killiney Beach.
This is work that BC Hydro had originally planned to do in the spring but postponed to the fall after the forest fire risk had passed at the request of the Regional District because some of the sites that are impacted by the outage support their water pumps.
