Killiney Beach Flooding Update

I went for a walk through Killiney Beach to see the changes I missed over the last few days. What a difference. The water is well over the road for a large stretch of the north end of the park. The section where the Tiger Dams were deployed then removed are under water.

The large piece of dock is NOT part of the Community pier, looks like it is a victim of the flooding. If you recognize it and want it back talk to RDCO Parks I’m sure they will be pleased to let you come and get it out of the boat launch … not that that can be used for it’s intended purpose at this time.

Here is the link to the lake levels with some historical data of interest. With predictions of a continual lake level rise and still significant snow-pack in place we have more flooding to come.
