Westshore Water Quality Advisory Removed

After consulting with Interior Health, the Regional District of Central Okanagan has rescinded a Water Quality Advisory for customers of the Westshore Estates Water System in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area.

Turbidity in Okanagan Lake water source is once again within the acceptable and safe Canadian guidelines for drinking water quality.  As a result the precautionary Water Quality Advisory that has been in place since August 8th has been removed.

Approximately 270 properties are connected to the community water system off located off Westside Road.

As of today, customers of the six RDCO water systems may, as needed, return to odd/even outdoor irrigation.  Unless other restrictions are in place, each year between September 16th and June 15th – these systems operate under Stage 1 Restrictions allowing customers to water outdoors on alternating days.    Those with even-numbered addresses may irrigate on even numbered calendar days and customers with odd-numbered addresses may water outdoors on odd number days.  For hours that outdoor watering is allowed visit rdco.com/water.
