Update on the Flooding in the North Westside
17-05-14 RDCO UPDATE: There are a couple of danger trees that need to be removed, a hydro pole replaced and some minor road repairs made before people can return. We hope to have that work completed later today.
Even without the arrival of the storm predicted for yesterday the water continues to flow and with it mud from the saturated soil everywhere. Another event down Kilkenny today with mud and debris over a driveway leading to several homes. At least one garage has suffered damage.

The Fire Department is in the process of evacuating 17 homes on Kilkenny Place due to a land slide. A geotechnical engineer will be assessing the slide later tonight or tomorrow.
Water is still flowing down in Killiney Beach. Looks like we have a new waterfall in the park.
