Library Opening – Westside Learning Lab

I attended the opening of the new Okanagan Regional Library Branch the Westside Learning Lab. This is in the shopping center across the traffic circle by WFN Headquarters at the South end of Westside Road by Dollarama.

Attached are a couple of links to news stories regarding the grand opening of the new Westside Learning Center last Saturday.   The Board was very well represented by Karla Kozakivich and the local members Thomas Konek of WFN, Wayne Carson of CORD.   We also had the mayor of West Kelowna, and the Chief of WFN as well as the local MLA Ben Stewart.

We estimate that there were well over 350-400 persons attending during the day.    They enjoyed seeing the new equipment being demonstrated, and a fun performance by local magician Leaf David.  The excitement was tangible with everybody enthused to see this sort of space finally happening within the ORL.
