Killiney Beach Water Quality Advisory Removed

Killiney Beach Water Quality Advisory Removed

After consulting with Interior Health, the Regional District of Central Okanagan has rescinded a Water Quality Advisory for customers of the Killiney Beach Water System in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area.

The advisory affecting approximately 290 properties has been in place as a precaution following construction on the Udell Pressure Reducing Valve and related water main upgrading project.  Since the work was completed last Thursday, the system has been completely flushed and testing results indicate the system turbidity is within acceptable and safe Canadian guidelines for drinking water quality.

The Regional District provides water service to just over 1,000 connections in six service areas.

For information visit the Regional District website water system webpage (rdco.com/water) or contact RDCO Engineering Services at engineer@rdco.com or 250-469-6241.  To subscribe online for Regional District water quality advisories or alerts by email visit rdco.com/water.
